The online unemployment compensation filing system is fully operational and operating normally.

I am pleased to report that the department’s information technology staff has resolved the technical issues with the UC Internet filing system and the system is fully operational and operating normally.

Constituents who could not get through on the Internet system earlier in the week should be informed that the system is now working and available.

All continued claims filed – whether online or by telephone – through Wednesday, Dec. 2nd, will be paid by Friday, Dec. 4th.

Constituents should be instructed -- and encouraged -- to file their biweekly continued claims online or they can use the Pennsylvania Automated Teleclaims (PATs) system at 1-888-255-4728.

Filing today will ensure benefit payment by Friday.

Online filing and the PAT system are both available Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sundays from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Please encourage constituents to use one of the above two methods of filing to ensure prompt benefit payment by Friday.

Also, please advise your legislative staff to suspend the use of the temporary emergency measures -- Legislative Request Form and visits to local PA CareerLink® office -- provided and referenced in earlier Updates.  Those temporary measures require a 24 hour turnaround.  The online filing or the PAT system will provide constituents the quickest and easiest access to filing.  Claims filed today -- online or through the PAT system -- ensure payment by Friday.

Finally, individuals filing initial claims are encouraged to file online at www.uc.pa.gov.  If they are unable to file online, call the Unemployment Compensation Service Center at 1-888-313-7284 early in the day or after 5:00 p.m. Online filing for initial claims is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, while UC Service Centers take calls Monday through Friday, from 7 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. and Sundays from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

We thank you for your patience, and apologize for any inconvenience.
