12th Annual Tribute to Veterans and Service People

State Senator Jane Clare Orie will hold a Tribute to Veteran's Breakfast on Thursday, May 8, 2008, to honor veterans and present service persons.  The event will feature Lt. Gen. William G. Pagonis, retired Three-Star U.S. Army General who is currently serving as the Vice Chairman of the Board, Genco and Vice Chairman of the Board, Combine Net; and Robert L. Smolen, Deputy Administrator for Defense Programs at the Department of Energy's National Nuclear Security Administration as guest speakers. 

Other speakers will include Todd Jochem, Ph.D. and "TALON" with Applied Perceptions, a special presentation by Deborah Filipi, Executive Director, PA Federation of Museum & Historical Organizations and an award presentation by Bob Price, Marine Corps League.

"We hold this event each year to pay tribute to those who have fought and sacrificed for our freedoms," Orie said. "It's a great way to say thank you to the men and women who have done so much for our nation."
