West Deer Volunteer Fire Company Receives $9,500

Sen. Jane Orie (R-40) announced that her office will present West Deer Volunteer Fire Company with a check for $9,500.  Orie said the grant will fund the renovation of their facility, which serves as the major source of income to support the department's operations.  The West Deer Volunteer Fire Department serves the third largest township in Allegheny County.

"Volunteer fire fighters deserve our sincerest gratitude for the life-saving work that they do out of the goodness of their hearts," said Orie. "They also deserve access to the latest technology and equipment, and I will continue to do everything in my power to make sure they get what they need."
