FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Orie: Auberle Receives $400,000 to Expand Facility for Troubled YouthSen. Jane Orie (R-40) today presented a $400,000 check to Auberle, an agency that helps troubled youths, to help build a new facility. Orie said the money, which she helped to secure in the Commonwealth's Capital Budget, will be used to construct a 24-bed facility to accommodate male adolescents between the ages of 16 to 18. The 6,500 square foot building for this community-based program will be used to enhance their independent living skills and "graduate" them as productive, contributing, taxpaying citizens. Established in 1952 Auberle, a faith-based Catholic agency, has been helping troubled children and families heal themselves. Children and families are treated with dignity and respect through Auberle's innovative innovations. Auberle offers numerous services and programs including foster care, residential living programs, an emergency shelter program, transitional housing, and in-home counseling services. "This funding will help Auberle to reach more troubled children and their families," Orie said. "Through positive intervention, faith and counseling, Auberle has helped many young people to reach their full potential and become part of the community." |
