Thank you again, but please don't send any more - we will be leaving country soon and any packages addressed to us will be re-routed back to the States.  I really appreciate your support-  it means a lot, and the women have been really happy to receive the cream and blankets. Unfortunately, we will not be replaced in our area with another Female Engagement Team. Thank you again though, very
much, for caring!

Nicole

YRG and Packing Gang,

Thanks!  Today when we did our mail run, we were provided w/ a few boxes that you'd shipped either to "Any Soldier" or a specific Soldier who may have already deployed from Afghanistan.  The guys (and three gals here) are pillaging the goodies as I type...I took a pillow-case and some cereal for myself!

Thank you for caring and praying for us.  Our team is mostly from Fort Carson, Colorado, but a few of us either joined the team here in Afghanistan or got to Colorado just in time to come here.  I'm one of
those guys:  I live in King of Prussia, PA, near Philly.  I'd been serving at Valley Forge Military College from 20009 until May of last year, then flew to Colorado on 25 May, and flew here on 6 June.  I'll
serve in Stuttgart, Germany when we redeploy this May-June.

Thanks again for the goodies, cards and toiletries!

(Some of the cards we received were from Pete, Laure, Samuel and Sarah Hill; the Burry Family, Susan Kohate & family; and Ms. Kathy Szakelyhidi.

Thanks! vr,
Kevin

On behalf of the Marines and Sailor here, we would like to thank you for support. We were pleased to receive your care package and are truly thankful. Community members like you, who open their hearts to take the time in their busy schedule to take us into consideration makes all of us here take pride in the job we do.

We hope you know how much all of us here appreciate your volunteer service to the Marines and Sailors morale. You are truly making a difference in all of our lives. Thank you.

Just want to let you know that the ox arrived last night when I got to work. Thank you again for all your support from back home. It does make things go by easier faster. I did not get photo's this time, I did not have my Ipod with me when it was opened. The items went very quickly and every one was happy.

As for us out here in Shank the weather has been COLD!!!, at night the temp has been in the single digits (0.3-12) on average. The days make it into the mid 50's to low 60's. We got about 4-6 inches of snow last week and it has made every thing slippery around here now that is has started to meld during the day and freeze again at night. Thank you again for the box.

Keith

On behalf of the soldiers of Company h 121st Infantry airborne (Long Range Surveillance) we wanted to thank you for the care packages.  We are stationed in Northern Kosovo as part of the NATO Peace Keeping Mission (conditions here are not pleasant so just know that the package you send did brighten our day.  thank you again and Merry Belated Christmas!

Honestly the care packages mean a lot to us.  We don't get too much to make us happy so you sending packages is like gold.  thanks so much for caring about our soldiers.

With Love,
SPC Jordan

We received another box yesterday!  Thank you very much.  I turned it over to my security detail that is sure to enjoy it!

I'll get them to send some pix.  Things here are going well.  The Soldiers are doing a great job and sincerely appreciate all you do.

We may be moving soon to another location.  Lots of stuff going on right now.  We should be moving in about 30-40 days.

I'll update you on that when we get settled.  Thank you again for all of your wonderful support.

My son, Thomas Flook, Jr., emailed and asked me to pass along a "HUGE THANK YOU"!! He received his Christmas box  :)  and just received another one!  :)  He said the most important thing is knowing  they are not forgotten. I'm grateful, as his mom, Thank you again"" for all you do for my son and all!!!

He doesn't have to tell me much to know how bad their having it. Living in tents for a year at an outpost. Two showers for 207 soldiers!! Washing out their socks and underwear with their bottled water. They're getting breakfast and dinner.. but for lunch, it's MRE'S

In the four weeks they have been there....there has been one soldier, who paid the ultimate sacrifice and six injured, when they were ambushed on patrol. He told me, he appreciates every prayer and support from back home.

This is going to be a VERY long year, as we wait for his safe return.

"God Bless our Troops" and bring them all home soon and safely!!

"Thank you" again from our brave soldier and family!!
Sincerely,
JoAnn

Today is 6 December 2011 and I just want to let you know that I received your care package today. I greatly appreciate your concern and love that you have shown me. Up until this day I have not received anything from anyone. So getting this package really made my day. It can get very
lonely while on deployment and small things like this is what gets us through the day, and continue to have the motivation to protect the American people like all of you. I cant stress enough how thankful I am to have such a outstanding group like the Yellow Ribbon Girls behind me 100%. I have not read all of the cards yet but when I do I will be sure to individually thank all the personnel who have took the time out of their day to go the extra mile for the troops. The little Christmas tree is very heart warming lol. Im currently decorating it as I write this letter. Everything in this package is definitely something that I needed. The first letter that I picked up was a hand written letter from Tara in 3rd grade. Thank you so much Tara, when I get back from deployment I will be sure to visit the Yellow Ribbon Girls. Ellwood City is not far at all from where I am from (Midland). You are such an amazing group. Once again I thank all of you and im looking forward to meeting you all. Merry Christmas, and a VERY VERY Happy New Years.

Sincerely,
YNSN Warren S. Taylor

To whom this may concern:

On behalf of myself and my comrades, I wanted to thank you for all the goodies you sent to us in Kosovo in a care package. The snacks, candies, and Christmas decorations are all very kind reminders that there are people who indeed care & think about deployed soldiers. Even if this is the only email you receive from someone in my theater of operation, I want you to say thank you very much.

Peace & blessings to your organization,

Leland White

Santa arrived! Thank you very much. When your packages gets to my unit everybody's eyes light up with joy cause it lets them know that some people are thinking about us while we are away from our family and friends. It might not feel like much but the packages gives us all motivation so we know we ain't wasting our time out here.

GOD BLESS YAL AND ONCE AGAIN THANK YOU FOR THE SUPPORT/

We are working on another newsletter to update our friends and family
back home. It should be coming soon, so be on the lookout. Thank you
for the Halloween boxes, they were put to good use. We did receive a
box with Thanksgiving items. It's nice to see the season's change
around here. We can tell that it's moving fast and furious.

We will be having our "Over-the-Hump" rally on 19 November 2011. Half
way point and should energize us for a great second half of deployment!!
Stand by for some great pictures to come.

Thank you and all the yellow ribbon girl supporters. You guys are truly
wonderful!!

I just wanted to take the time to say thank you very much for sending out the girl scout cookies. I did get some and they were great. I was lucky to get the ones that I loved which were the thin mints. It was a great morale booster. Many people were going through the boxes picking what they wanted so that was fun to watch as well.

It is the little things that help make the time here go by faster. Not to sure if you knew were your girls cookies ended up but I am in Shank Afghanistan supporting the Army. I am a retired Navy sailor of 26 years and out here supporting our other branches during the war so thank you again for your support.

Good Afternoon,

Since coming out here in August we have received two great care packages from your organization. Everyone here really appreciates the support. We usually send the cookies to the Marines that work in the remote areas of Afghanistan. They do not receive many of the comforts that I am able to enjoy being on a bigger, more developed base. Tomorrow we will be bringing some of the cookies to another small base to some Marines that are often alone on a small outpost. I am sure they will be thankful.

We appreciate your efforts out here and love to see the small reminders of home. Thanks again for the support.

Currently we are putting together a newsletter to update folks back home. Once it is finalized I will be sure to send you guys a copy! Again you have been wonderful to us and on behalf of 30 NCR, thank you!!

Bonnie, Patti & Vicki,

I just wanted to say thank you for the care package i received Wednesday, i gave most away, do to the fact that i am already overstocked, but its the thought that counts, right. Anyway im emailing you fine ladies to tell ask you to please take me off your list now, we are nearing our end of tour in IRAQ, and also we will not be able to receive mail after 1 September, or it would be shipped back to you with postage due, i don't want to see that happen. You ladies do us a wonderful service & added expense is not what i want for you all. So again thanks so much from myself & the others that benefited from your kindness.

SPC Jeffrey Crespo

Dear Yellow Ribbon Girls;

Thanks to the mercy and grace of our good Lord, my soldiers and I are back in Germany with our families safe and alive.  We would like to thank you for all your generosity and support during our deployment to Afghanistan.  Thanks also for the gift boxes you mailed for us, they helped improve the morale of our soldier to know that there are folks out there who truly care and support us.

Again, thanks you for all your prayers, kindness and hard work. We really appreciate it and it made a significant difference in the attitude of our soldier while we were deployed.

SSG Ramon Mondol

Bonnie Phillippi and the Yellow Ribbon Girls,

Thank you very much for the nice care packages that you sent. I and my fellow soldiers have enjoyed them greatly!  I especially needed that pair of socks! They came just in the nick of time.  I serve with
British, Australian and Singapore officers and they decorated around my desk area with the patriotic items that you sent over.   Everybody really enjoyed the cookies.  Although the chocolate had melted
somewhat(very hot over here) the Tagalongs were a huge hit and they gave the Australian Tim Tams a run for their money as a favorite on the team. I am currently deployed with 10th Mountain Division (Light Infantry) and we are scheduled to come home soon. My redeployment will be next month. Although I am stationed all over the place being in the army, my home address is: Butler PA I wanted to warn you now so that you didn't waste another package to me since I will redeploy and I wanted to thank you from the bottom of my heart and if possible when I get home visit you during one of your packing sessions.

Again, thank you for your kind, sincere, selfless gifts. They mean an incredible amount to us soldiers over here.

I am writing to thank you for your sacrifices of time and other resources to support the soldiers here in Afghanistan.  I wish you could see the joy on soldiers faces as they receive your care packages.  God Bless you for all you do for our soldier so far from home that have no access to basic necessities.

PS:  A special thank you to Kira that sent the hand print turkey. I found that very special.

Dear Yellow Ribbon Girls and Gang

I just received another box (this is CH [CPT] Andrew Parker in Taji Iraq).  The items were great and will be continually distributed over the next few days.  Also, I shared the story from the Rimer family with my command and staff to remind them of Memorial Day.  It was a fitting reminder of the need to remember.  Thank you for putting the candy and story in the box.

I know there is continued cost and much energy applied to keep that kind of process running.  I know my expression of gratitude is minimal in the scope of things but I can assure you it is heartfelt and shared by many many soldiers who receive the things that are donated.

May the Lord continue to bless you and your family.

CH Parker

I just wanted to say thanks for another box that arrived in the mail today.  It has been snowing quite a bit so aircraft have not been coming in quite as often.  Maybe your box took awhile to arrive.  Once again, thanks.  There seemed to be quite a few little notes in the small bags as well.  If they are from school children make sure that you let them know I appreciate the gesture.  Take care!

A big thanks for all of you, I am one of linguists helping US Forces in Iraq and today I received a package containing a little paper with your e-mail beside a saying by Winston Churchill, I really appreciate your dedication and support for your mighty military, people like you make the difference and make others happier.  May God bless all of you and help you in achieving all of your dreams, hopes, wishes and goals.

I logged into your website and learned that you and your friends have been doing this for years.  With great respect I salute You!  In regards to sending us a St. Patrick's Day package,  one of our girls, Melissa Bates from VAQ-132 received the package in which she shared the contents.  I do want to take advantage of your generosity and take away from your funding when we already receive your kindness.  I am sending you my unit address because we get enjoyment from the messages from the kids.  I personally will be carrying around the Kung Fu Panda Valentine from "Shane" and the special pebble with the message and the heart on it, (person unknown) as a kind of talisman for peace.  Those simple messages serve as encouragement and remind
us why it is we do what we do.

Hello to my supporters back home,
Thanks so much for all of the boxes that have come in this past week. Some of you received personal cards in the mail, others e-mails.  Again thanks so much for everything.  Here are a few pictures of my weekend, the first real cold and snow of the season.  Everyone is enjoying the Super Bowl.  It is half time, and I think it will be a great finish.  My family is of course all rooting for the Packers but the Steelers have a great tradition so if they win that is not a big deal.

Take care all,

Thank you so much for the package of gifts again.  The crew here always congregate when they see me walk in with the big box.  :)  The toiletry items are very welcome by the folks here.  With personnel rotations the new arrivals always seem to be low on those supplies.  By the way, I need an address that I can send a small gift from the crew back here.  A little something to show our appreciation for the support that you and the girls are providing us. I just returned from Bagrahm Air Base.  I went up there to mainly visit my wife's cousin (she is the one that sent us your original package) and touch base with her to see how she was doing.  We had a great time. Just kind of hung out as much as we could and played a little ping pong at the Red Cross.  We both had to work but still managed to get together as much as possible during our free-time.  :)
